This is an employee based program to encourage involvement and ownership of the GCS Health and Safety program, facilitating growth and development within GCS. Gold Hand Mentorship gives GCS management an opportunity to recognize employees who want to succeed and show initiative.

Experienced workers who agree to participate are given GCS Gold Mentor stickers to wear on their hard hats, and a specific mentor vest, making them immediately recognizable as individuals to whom less experienced employees can turn to for guidance. GCS strives to ensure a mentor is available on every jobsite, to lead by example and instill the GCS values and policies.

Our mentors are thoroughly knowledgeable about the GCS safety program, have ample site experience, and actively participate in the program. An accumulation of all these qualities and requirements helps our workers reach their full potential faster, and complete tasks with more confidence and aptitude; overall, resulting in less workplace injuries and incidents.
