Scope of Work: Work spanned across multiple contracts, starting from stripping and stockpiling for the site and access road, followed by rough grading and drainage ditch construction, and leading into the site infrastructure work for dilbit and diluent tanks; including, sub-surface drainage system, buried electrical conduits, chain link fence and gates, finish grading, two tank foundations and ring roads, wet pond, and underground tank lines.


East Campus Development

Scope of Work: Expanding onto Husky’s Hardisty East Campus, this contract included overall site grading to support the construction of two gravel tank foundations, piling and structural supports, installation of 36” and 48” buried piping, tank lot containment lining, and installation of precast concrete containment wall panels.

E2H Project

Job Title: E2H Project- Civil and Concrete Scope

Scope of Work: Civil scope of work for this project included the excavation of all 24” and 36” line locations, concrete support locations, supporting the mechanical contractor and backfilling when installations were completed. The concrete scope of work included 26 large concrete bases that were installed to support the new pipe rack.


Raw Water Treatment System

Job Title: Raw Water Treatment System- Pond Liners and Concrete

Scope of Work: Work encompassed two contracts pertaining to both primarily civil and concrete scopes of work.

As a primarily civil contract, work on the NWR Unit 70 ponds included installation of manholes and HDPE piping for a subdrain system, final grading of pond areas, and placing of custom crushed drainage gravel, followed by the installation of geosynthetics and liners. A total of 5 ponds were completed with an overall surface area of approximately 33 acres. Construction of a concrete foundation for a pumphouse included large raft slabs and tall walls to provide 2 wells to service the pumps which supply the refinery with its process water needs.

Work across the Unit 80 and 90 pipe racks included the construction of over 1200 concrete structures throughout the refinery site. Structures varied from simple round caps, to lager vessel foundations, flare anchor blocks, and slab on grades of varying sizes. With a peak concrete crew of over 50 people, work supported the tight installation schedule of pipe rack super modules.


Fort McMurray South Facility

Scope of Work: New facility construction consisting of generator skid, MCC, traps, prover, metering skid, ISH building, buried sump tank, and above ground tank. Excavating and backfill large bore piping to additional carrier’s infrastructure. Installation of facility steel pilings, structural steel, mechanical piping, and electrical and instrumentation, including fiber optics and cathodic protection.
