GCS Energy Services Ltd. is a privately owned Canadian industrial contractor committed to providing clients with the best possible quality of construction in a safe and efficient manner. From a single backhoe, loader, and tandem gravel truck, to one of western Canada’s largest and fastest growing industrial contractors, GCS Energy Services Ltd. is small enough to listen, and big enough to deliver.

Our specialties include electrical and civil contracting, custom crushing, and an extensive heavy equipment rental division. Our goal is to provide quality service safely and efficiently, on time and on budget. Whatever it takes, each and every time.

GCS ENERGY SERVICES ACTIVELY PROMOTES OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS

We recruit and keep on file over 200 available operator and labourer positions. These numbers allow us to target multiple people in nearly every area where we work. We aim to hire at least 10 per cent local hires as well as committing to using local services including working with local fuel supply retailers, hotels and camp grounds, restaurants and grocery stores, lumber yards, and trucking companies for gravel hauling.

FOSTERING RELATIONSHIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES WITH FIRST NATIONS

GCS ENERGY IS COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING EARLY ENGAGEMENT AND WORK OPPORTUNITIES WITH FIRST NATION GROUPS AND TO BEING A POSITIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE COMMUNITIES WE WORK IN

GCS recognizes that Aboriginal people are the nation’s youngest and fastest growing human resource. This young, upwardly mobile labour force requires opportunities for training, skills development, and employment.

GCS is proactively developing and increasing the opportunities for employment for Aboriginal people across all projects by:

  • Recruiting Aboriginal people;
  • Providing summer employment and temporary employment;
  • Collaborating with companies and organizations to enhance opportunities for Aboriginal workers;
  • Developing an Aboriginal element to our orientation and supervisor training programs; and
  • Creating opportunity for Aboriginal workers to develop skills, gain experience and grow with the company

Aboriginal people across Western Canada will further enhance our ability to manage business through all economic cycles and create a thriving, diversity-rich business climate.
