Our award-winning safety programs are constantly evolving to maintain a level above industry standard. At GCS safety isn’t an obligation - it’s a way of life. We run a three-step Success Through Safety awareness program which focuses on mentorship, education, and recognition.

GOLD HAND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

This is an employee based program to encourage employee involvement and ownership of the GCS Health and Safety program, facilitating growth and development within GCS.  Gold Hand Mentorship gives GCS management an opportunity to recognize employees who want to succeed and show initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Experienced workers who agree to participate are given GCS Gold Mentor stickers to wear on their hard hats, making them immediately recognizable as individuals to whom new/green employees can turn to for guidance.

In order to obtain this ranking, these individuals should be thoroughly knowledgeable about the GCS safety program, have site experience, and be active mentors.

Workers shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of themselves, fellow worker, company property, and the general public. It is the company's belief that all accidents and injuries are preventable with the proper planning and safety precautions. Our aim is to have an incident free workplace. Doing work without proper planning is unacceptable. No job is so urgent that it cannot be done without proper care and attention.
